It is the biggest game of the year and we’re going to celebrate in style! Come to the Lambert’s house to watch the first half of the Super Bowl. We will have lots of food and lots of fun. Guess the score to win a prize or just hang out with your friends and enjoy a clash of two gigantic gridiron forces. It’s going to be awesome!

We are in need of energetic and fun people to implement our Camp Sunday elementary program and help with VBS this summer. Employment begins late in May and continues until early August. Unpacking the Parables of Jesus
on Sundays at 6:30 p.m., Archgate Center (upstairs) –

Starting on January 8, join us as we wrestle with the parables of Jesus. We’ll walk through the parables together and find out how to take Jesus’ teachings with us into our daily lives. We will also have time for worship, food and fellowship. So bring a Bible and join your friends on Sunday nights!

Youth: Retreat ‘Together’ this Winter

February 17-19, Pine Cove Retreat Center

Acts 2:42 tells us that the earliest Christians had their lives transformed as they spent time together in worship, study, fellowship and service. When the Holy Spirit came upon them, they were all together in one place, and they went out from there to change the world. Christ teaches us over and over again that none of us can make it on our own. We have to go together.

This February, we’re going to bring our whole youth ministry family to Pine Cove to worship, learn and play as we seek God’s will for our common life. This is going to be a retreat that sets the tone for our whole year, so come and join as we learn what it means to follow God as one family, together.

Care Packages Sent to College Students

College students from Christ Church will receive a treat just before final exams this year. The Youth Ministry staff and several parent volunteers prepped boxes for shipping by stuffing them full of goodies last week.

While they are away concentrating on their studies, it is important for students to know that they have a church home that cares about them. The boxes were overflowing with snacks and homemade treats, as well as personal notes from Jonathan Hunnicutt (Adult Discipleship Minister), the Youth staff and their parents.
