The Shadowlands Grief Recovery group provides support, love, understanding, information and tools that assist grieving people to move to a renewed spirit of hope. This six-week class provides a Christian perspective on the journey from loss to a restored sense of peace and joy.

Learn about God’s model of grieving, coping skills for difficult emotions and insights into the effect of a loss on all areas of life. Loss is experienced in many forms; the end of a relationship, loss of a job, a life-changing illness/accident or death to name a few. Shadowlands is facilitated by Sharon Fox and Paul Jones.

Coming Home to Jesus

A Study of Luke for Wise Women

Through the eyes of Mary, the mother of Jesus, Luke unfolds the drama of Jesus’ mission from Galilee to Jerusalem. He gives special attention to the disenfranchised and disillusioned, showing God’s compassion for the misfit and forgotten. His book is full of infectious joy and celebration that spreads to the hurting and lost.

As we walk with Jesus on his journey, we’ll learn how God empowers us to minister to our families, coworkers, community, and church through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. The study includes weekly Bible study assignments, live teaching by Heather Goodman, as well as great discussion. The study will prepare our hearts for Holy Week with a fresh view of Jesus’ life. The Promise of Power

On a mountaintop, the disciples came face to face with the resurrected Christ. Having all power and authority, He gave them a final command that would remain in place until He came again in glory: “Go and make disciples!” Yet, even with this direct command, these men were not ready. They lacked something vital. They needed the absolute power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told them to go and wait for the moment when the Holy Spirit would fall upon them, fill them and empower them to live out the Great Commission to make disciples.

Our On Point study this spring is about the coming of the Holy Spirit and the unbelievable impact He had on the early church and the spread of the Gospel. It is only through the work of the Holy Spirit that God took a few untrained, unknown men and transformed history and the world. We know that the same power and presence working in the early church to revolutionize them is available and necessary to continue that work today.

The Financial Peace University course has helped hundreds of people in our church and surrounding communities. The course includes practical lessons on eliminating debt, creating a budget, insurance, real estate, building wealth, giving like never before and much more.

Beginning in September, we meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month through May, from 9:15-11:15 a.m. Participants are seated at tables with women in similar life stages and circumstances, or who have children of similar ages. Simultaneously, an outstanding children’s program is provided on a space-available basis.

Scripture tells us to be a sweet aroma for Christ. Join us this fall as we look at heaven and examine what fragrance our lives and homes exude. Some say that you can be so heavenly-minded that you are of no earthly good, but we believe becoming heavenly mindful enhances our lives and draws others to God. Does your fragrance attract others? Join us as we learn to apply Heaven scent.
