Giving Options
- Cash or Check Offerings
The easiest way to give with cash or check is during the collection of the offering during our worship services. Contributions may also be mailed or delivered during the week to the business office. To receive a receipt for tax deductions, enclose cash offerings in the pew envelopes. The IRS now requires receipts or statements to verify contributions of any amount for tax deduction.
When writing checks, indicate the amounts to be contributed to different funds (e.g. operating fund or building fund) on the memo line.
- Bill Pay
Most banks now provide online bill pay, another great option for giving for those who prefer not to write checks. Just follow the directions from your bank to create a new Payee and choose to make a regular weekly or monthly payment:- Name: Christ Church Plano
- Address: 4550 Legacy Dr., Plano, TX 75024
- Phone Number: 972-618-0222
- Account Number: (Your first & last name)
If you desire for your payment to go to a designated fund, simply add the name of the fund in the memo field.
- Non-Cash Gifts
Donations of appreciated property (stocks, bonds, mutual fund shares) to the church may provide you with two tax advantages. In addition to the charitable deduction, you may be able to avoid income tax on the appreciated value. Please check with your own tax advisor for the applicability of these advantages to your own situation. The following forms will assist you in this process:
