Evidence of Easter from the Death of the Apostles

April 2nd, 2010 Fr. David Roseberry 1 comment

The logic is sound.  If the fact that Jesus was raised from the dead was fiction, don’t you think the Apostle’s would have renounced their faith and trust in Him long before their painful, cruel deaths?  Something happened to the Apostles.  They were seized by the truth and never doubted…and thus died in their faith.

Resource links

February 14th, 2010 Fr. David Roseberry No comments

Dear Friends,

I am posting this page of resource links to give some background to some of the statements, quotes, and comments I made on Valentine’s Day.  I am grateful for our church and its willingness to trust me with important questions.  I hope I have treated you all with utmost respect and have given glory to our Savior Jesus Christ.

These are not in order.

I am also thankful to the Christ Church clergy staff for taking an afternoon and helping me get to some pastoral reflections on the questions.  Their insights were very helpful and their counsel was wise.

In Christ,

David+

Husbands, wives, and the Daily Mail

February 13th, 2010 Fr. David Roseberry No comments

Here we go again. A sermon gets people all riled up…and it usually has to do with people now knowing the whole of Ephesians 5.

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ”

“Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave himself…”

“Wives, submit to your husbands…”

Sounds like a great plan…although imperfectly realized in every household.
