Women

You are invited to become a part of our many ministries to women. We hope you will find a welcoming atmosphere where you will connect to God and other women.

Women’s Ministry includes large and small group Bible studies, Moms ‘n Mosa!cs (where experienced moms can be heartwarmers to newer moms), women’s retreat, special events, and discipleship opportunities. There are many chances for you to connect at Christ Church. We love to help women discover and share their spiritual gifts.

  • Bible Studies
    We offer many opportunities for Bible Study, video studies, large group, neighborhood studies, all meeting at various times to meet your interest and schedule. Studying God’s word together is vital to our spiritual growth and formation. We hope that every woman will be able to find a place to belong in Bible study.
  • Moms ’n More
    Formerly known as Moms ‘n Mosa!cs, Moms ‘n More is an exciting ministry now available for all women. This is a wonderful time of study is for women eager to develop authentic relationships. Be inspired by outstanding teaching and get connected to the ministries of Christ Church. You will discover great fellowship, passionate praise and worship, solid Bible-based teaching, and heart-to-heart small group discussion.

    Beginning in September, we meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month through May, from 9:15-11:15 a.m. Participants are seated at tables with women in similar life stages and circumstances, or who have children of similar ages. Simultaneously, an outstanding children’s program is provided for children ages 3 to 5, and nursery is provided for younger children on a space-available basis.

  • LIGHT (Living in God’s Hands Today)
    Our LIGHT ministry reaches out to women whose own life or the life of a loved one has been touched by cancer. This is a group of women who have walked through the journey of cancer and discovered spiritual strength they might have never known.

    They gather to strengthen and encourage each other and reach out. One way they reach out to others is through prayer. You can request prayers from members of LIGHT in person or through written requests. They are happy to assist you through prayer.

    Another important outreach of this ministry is the LIGHT Cancer Bags they make available to people struggling with cancer. They contain specific items that inspire and encourage through this difficult journey. The suggested donation to purchase a bag is $20. You can take it to someone personally, or request that LIGHT members deliver it and pray for the person you would like to minister to.

  • Women’s Conferences and Retreats
    We offer women of all generations a chance to take a weekend over-night or a conference at the church. We bring in an outstanding speaker and provide lots of fun along with deeply spiritual moments to enrich the spiritual lives of women.
  • Special Events
    We love to bring women of all ages, family situations, and spiritual interests together for several woman-centered events each year. We begin the year with the Women’s Ministry kick-off event with a special guest speaker in early fall.
  • Book Club
    The Women’s Ministry book club currently meets on the third Monday of every month at the home of Heather Goodman. To RSVP or for directions, contact Heather Goodman.
  • Get Involved
    We invite you to come and be enriched by our ministries, we also extend a welcome if you would like to get involved in serving in one of these areas of ministries. Please contact Debi Newman about your interest.
