Nursery
The Christ Church nursery is provided for your children so that you may fully participate in worship, education classes or other special events on our church campus. It is our goal to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment for your children.
Your children will be in a developmentally appropriate room with at least two professionally trained adult staff members. The staff has been trained in CPR, Pediatric First Aid, and Safe Church policy. The classrooms are continually evaluated for cleanliness and safety.
Sick Policy
For the protection of all children and staff, children who show any sign of illness will not be accepted into the nursery. If symptoms develop after the service/event begins, you will be notified immediately.
No child will be allowed into any of the children’s programs if he/she currently or within 24 hours has had:
- A fever of 100 or above
- Any vomiting or diarrhea
- A severe runny nose or sore throat
- Croup or bad cough
- An ear infection
- Pink eye or an eye infection
- A skin infection – impetigo, boils, ringworm etc.
- A skin rash other than diaper rash
- Any childhood disease – measles, mumps, rubella, scarlet fever, chicken pox, or fifth disease.
Parents should notify the nursery of their children’s exposure to any communicable disease if the children have been in the church within the last few days after exposure.
Check-in
Your children are checked in to the nursery via a secure computer check-in system and given a printed label that includes their name, allergies, and a unique number that will match a label given to the parents. Parents must have the corresponding label with them when picking up their children. You may also have a pager if you wish. These will be issued at the child’s classroom.
