Marriage Ministry

The Marriage Ministry exists to enrich and strengthen the basic family unit represented in the covenant of Christian marriage and to encourage married couples to grow more into the likeness of Christ. We offer several ways for this to happen:

Marriage Preparation: Circle of Two

One of the most joy-filled and-changing times for a person is his/her wedding day. It is a very special celebration of the love shared by a man and a woman, as well as the beginning of a lifelong commitment between a husband and a wife.

We seek to help couples plan and prepare not only for their wedding ceremony, but also for their entire married life. All couples who desire to be married in this parish are expected to complete a specific course of preparation which includes this orientation class on marriage, plus professional counseling and scheduled sessions with a member of the clergy.

Marriage Mentoring

A six- to twelve-month journey in which a mentor couple shares insights from God’s Word and from their own experience. Committed and trained married couples serve as mentors, using an established and proven process to encourage and support another couple in their marriage. Think of it as friends coming alongside to guide, encourage and assist you in building a strong marriage on a sure foundation.

Regardless of where you are in your marriage, the Christ Church Marriage Mentoring Ministry offers encouragement, strength and hope.

RingLeaders: A Fellowship of Christian Husbands

RingLeaders is a group-based curriculum specifically focused on strengthening the role of husbands in Christian marriage through practical wisdom and spiritual growth. The course, led by Dr. Ken Wilgus and the Rev. Jeff Rawn, is offered twice a year. RingLeaders is open to all husbands who desire to build a better relationship with their wives and with God. Annual Couples Conference

We offer a fun, informative weekend conference for couples every winter. Our next conference will be March 4-5, 2011. As our special guests, authors Jeff & Shaunti Feldhahn will help us gain a better understanding of our spouses.

Small Groups
