Music and Worship

Worship Ministries

Each month, volunteers fill 480 roles in our four weekend worship services. Flexible scheduling and on-going training are provided. It is a wonderful way to become involved with our church through worship and service. Contact Brenda Gribbin or fill out a worship team form to join us.

  • Altar Guild
Behind-the-scenes altar preparation includes the detailed care of vessels, linens and Eucharistic elements. This faithful group works in small teams, prayerfully supporting our clergy for all Chapel and Sanctuary services.
  • Acolytes
Ages 8 to 18 serve as torch bearers, servers and crucifers in Sanctuary worship services. This is an especially important learning experience for children. During this time of serving, children begin to understand and develop a personal appreciation for the worship traditions and heritage of the Anglican church.
  • Chalice Bearers & Lay Eucharist Ministers
Chalice bearers serve the cup, or wine, at Eucharist. After approval and licensing by the Office of the Rector, chalice bearers may also serve as Lay Eucharist Ministers, distributing the host, or bread, at Eucharist.
  • Ushers
Beyond a variety of duties which include distributing bulletins, collecting the offering and guiding communion, ushers act as ambassadors during worship. They are trained to serve and anticipate the needs of those in attendance.
  • Greeters
Greeters offer an enthusiastic Sunday morning welcome to all those arriving for worship. They are available to provide information and directions as needed. Greeters are located at all the main Sanctuary entrances.
