Mobilization Events
Our goal is to get every person in the congregation involved in reaching out to others in our community. Throughout the year we organize events that will allow our members to share their giftedness and resources with others. For more information on any of the events listed below, contact Marsha Kostus.

Make a Difference Day
Once a year Christ Church sponsors a local Make a Difference Day. It is the time we encourage all parishioners to reach out to the community in Christ’s name. It is a day of service, a place to meet new friends, and to learn more about opportunities in our community to serve those who need our assistance. Volunteer opportunities include: publicity, project leaders, project participants.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Each Thanksgiving Christ Church collects food for the needy in our community. This involves a large number of people, from the food donors to the volunteers who sort and distribute the food to the folks who coordinate the entire event.
Christmas Angel Tree Project
Many individuals, families, and small groups use the Angel Tree Project as a way to express Christ’s love during the Christmas season, both through the donation of time and effort and gifts. Local agencies supply us with gift wishes of children and adults in our community. The wishes are then written on small paper angels and hung as Christmas decorations on a large Christmas tree.
This is a big project that involves a lot of people of all ages: people who coordinate with the individual agencies on gift wishes, volunteers who decorate the angel ornaments, participate in tree set-up and trimming, staffers for the Angel Tree desk at all worship services, gift sorters and delivers, and administrative helpers.
Kids in Need
Each July, we collect school supplies for children in our community whose families are economically struggling. Local agencies distribute the supplies and provide our congregation the opportunity to help sort and distribute these supplies in late July and early August.
