Questions & Answers
Please define the Parish Ministries.
We have divided our church members into six geographic regions. The word parish originates from a Greek word that means, “neighbor” so in a sense, we have created six giant neighborhoods. Over each neighborhood we have placed one of our newly named Parish Ministers.
This approach moves our clergy from a campus-centered ministry where we organize and promote events at our church site to a community-centered ministry, where we are personally connecting with the people and needs represented in our congregation.

How are the parishes divided?
All of the parishes have roughly the same number of members. The 102 zip codes represented at Christ Church were placed in parishes according to geographic area and the number of members included.
Will the parishes be reassigned if one parish grows much larger than the others?
Our parish ministry plan provides the kind of flexibility that allows us to grow as our church grows. Individual parishes may change their borders over time, but our desire to connect and care for those in our church family will remain the same.
Who are the Parish Ministers?
- Northwest Parish – The Rev. Jed Roseberry
- Southwest Parish – The Rev. Clint Kerley
- Northeast Parish – David Thompson
- East Parish – Susan Freeman
- Southeast Parish – The Rev. Andy Bracken
- Central Parish – The Rev. Jeff Rawn
What if I already have a close relationship with a minister other than the one I am assigned?
Of course we want you to continue in the valuable relationships that you already have with Christ Church clergy. But with a church family of this size, one of our primary goals is to make sure that each member feels connected, finds community, and experiences support from a minister who is able to come and participate in life in your community.
What role will Fr. David and Fr. Greg play in the Parish Ministry Plan?
Father David will continue to focus on worship, preaching, and visioning for Christ Church. Father Greg will work closely with all of our parish ministers to support, equip and encourage them in this new venture.
What does a Parish Minister do?
Parish ministers are here to connect with the people in their parish. If we know that you attend Christ Church, expect to hear from your Parish Minister. He or she will be available to give encouragement, pastoral care and help connecting with the life of Christ Church. Parish Ministers will also oversee the small groups in their parish and will seek to connect members to each other through these and other fellowship opportunities.
When should I contact my Parish Minister?
Any time is a good time to introduce yourself to your Parish Minister. If you are just starting out at Christ Church or if have been here for a while and would like to become more involved in discipleship or ministry your Parish Minister would love to help you find a place to connect. If you would like to find out about baptism, confirmation or marriage preparation at Christ Church, your Parish Minister is the first person you should talk to. And if you experience a family crisis or have a member of your family in the hospital please let your Parish Minister know.
