Small Groups
Our vision is to see every member of Christ Church deeply connected to a smaller community of fellow believers living out God’s passionate desire for Christians to love the Lord, their neighbor, and one another.
Why Small Groups?
We were created for this. We were made to be in community, to live out life and faith together. In Genesis 1, the Scripture says we were made in the image of God—a God who is community. We were made in the image of a Trinitarian God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And do you know the first thing in all of creation that God said was not good? “It is not good that man should be alone” (Gen 2:18). In a church where hundreds of people come to worship regularly on any given Sunday, it is too easy to be alone. We want Christ Church to be a place where you know others and where others know you. It is in these smaller communities where these kinds of relationships are formed and nurtured.
This is where faith grows. It’s not just about relationships, but also about learning and growing as disciples within this community. Our small groups are where the Bible is studied and where individuals take their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ seriously. They come together to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God within a faith community.
Finally, we all need to be encouraged. In these small communities, for the last 25 years, people at Christ Church have found support, love, and care as groups have walked together through the most difficult and the most joyous moments of life. These communities cheer for one another through everything this world throws at us. They pray together, sit together, and rejoice together.
Ready to Join?
Are you ready to have this kind of community come around you? Are you ready to come alongside others? You will find that you were created for this. You will find that your faith grows. You will find the encouragement to navigate through life and faith.
All you have to do is connect with us and be ready to enter into a life-changing community of faith. We will take care of the rest.
