Christ Church Plano

Middle School

Welcome all 6-8th graders and parents to Middle School Youth Ministry. Relationships with other students are essential, but most importantly we focus on building a strong relationship with Christ. If you are looking for a place to fit in, get connected, and grow, Middle School is the place for you. Whether you are new to the church, a member, or just visiting, we want to help you get plugged in to encounter God.

Sunday School

Sunday, 9:15 a.m. | Archgate Youth Café

6th Grade Sunday School: Confirmation
Confirmation is a key component in a student’s spiritual growth, equipping them to take ownership of their personal relationship with Christ. We offer a nine-month Confirmation preparation class to all 6th graders during Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. during the fall and spring sessions. Upon completion of this class and other necessary requirements, 6th graders have the option of being confirmed in the spring. Students who choose not to be confirmed attend the same Sunday morning class which provides an excellent spiritual foundation and allows them to bond with their peers.

7th and 8th Grade Sunday School
Every Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m., 7th & 8th grade students gather in the Archgate Youth Café for a morning of teaching, small group discussion, fun, and fellowship. Come and grow in your relationship with God and one another!

Wednesday Night Middle School Group

Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. | Archgate Youth Café & Praise Center

6-8 graders gather every Wednesday evening. for food, fellowship, fun, games, worship and Bible teaching. There is always something for everyone. The concession stand opens at 6 p.m. with pizza, soda and snacks for sale, and kids hang out eating and playing games until the program begins at 7. Then we head upstairs to the Youth Praise Center for team interaction, worship and Bible teaching.

Angel Tree Shopping

Each year on the first Wednesday of December, over 100 students, teen helpers and parents invade a local Wal-Mart to buy Angel Tree gifts for dozens of lucky recipients. Then we return to church to wrap the gifts and write personal notes of encouragement and Christmas cheer to tuck in the gifts. We always need lots of adult participation to drive and help supervise. This festive event helps prepare our hearts for the Christmas season. It’s one of the most popular events of the year; don’t miss it!

For The Parents

parentsRaising children to be disciples of Jesus Christ is a daunting task. Fortunately, you don’t have to do it alone! Christ Church Family Ministries want to encourage and equip you for your God-given task of parenting your children. Parenting Seminars are held several times a year with topics geared to help parents understand the spiritual lives of their children. Time is given during each seminar for reflection and discussion with other parents.

Volunteering in Youth Ministry is also a great way to invest in your child’s spiritual life as well as get to know other parents at Christ Church. Opportunities range from teaching Sunday school to greeting students as they arrive on Wednesday nights to leading a small group. Contact the Youth Ministry staff regarding opportunities to volunteer in this important ministry!
