Prayer & Praise Night Was a Blessing

On Sunday, March 29 the Fellowship Hall was packed full with 400 people gathered for an evening of prayer and praise. The music was led by Josh Havens and friends from his band, the Afters. Fr. Jed Roseberry and Fr. Clint Kerley led in prayer and scripture reading. Throughout our planning for this worship experience, our greatest hope was that people would have a genuine encounter with God. God was faithful to answer that prayer! Many said that the Holy Spirit moved on them and they were renewed in their relationship with Christ.

One real highlight of the evening was the diverse group that attended. One person commented that he was touched by watching children dance in the aisles to the music while holding their grandparents’ hands. Someone else said that they enjoyed the opportunity to get to know more people by sitting next to a different group than their usual Sunday morning pew mates. The only real complaint was that the evening seemed too short! Plans are in the works for the next Sunday evening worship opportunity. Watch for details soon…You won’t want to miss it!
