Upon completion of their VBS program, Fr. Sergio Diaz of Iglesia San Miguel in Fort Worth took a moment to express thanks for our Children’s Ministry’s support of donated VBS material. Below is the letter he sent.

Fr. David Roseberry
Christ Church
550 Legacy Drive
Plano, TX 75024Dear Fr. David:
San Miguel completed its vacation Bible School today and I want to thank you and your Children’s Ministry staff for making this year’s program a wonderful experience for our children.
San Miguel is a small church in Fort Worth with an Hispanic congregation. The donation of the decorations, craft items, equipment for the games, and guidance for the volunteers from All Saints’ Episcopal Church (Anglican) saved us many hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.
I would especially like to thank former Director of Children’s Ministry, Katherine Somich, for working with All Saints’ to provide the donated materials. Also, your new Director, Jon Lyon has indicated the Children’s Ministry will continue to help us next year.
We are very grateful and feel God’s hand has been at work in this year’s VBS program.
Enclosed is a picture of the 75 children, teen-age Crew Leaders, Nursery children and mothers, All Saints’ volunteers, and San Miguel volunteers. Everyone sends their thanks.
Blessings,
Fr. Sergio Diaz

This July you can help make the beginning of school special for needy children in Collin County and the North Dallas area. Kids in Need in Our Community takes place in July. With your help, Christ Church will collect 500 backpacks filled with school supplies. Stop by one of the learning trees around the campus beginning July 10 and choose a child’s card. The card provides instructions and a list of supplies needed. Card selection will occur on two weekends, July 10-11 and 17-18, and all supplies should be returned to the tree sites by Sunday, July 25. Your participation will help kids in need in our community to be equipped for school this fall.
