On Friday, September 4, Christ Church gathered at Riders Field for an evening of baseball, food, and fellowship at our annual Night at the Ballpark.
Parishioners of all ages came together in the Home Run Terrace to watch the Frisco RoughRiders take on the Amarillo Sod Poodles. Over hot dogs and hamburgers, friends and families caught up, enjoyed the game, and spent time together as a church community.
Some of the evening’s biggest fans were our kids, who enthusiastically cheered on the RoughRiders from the outfield. Throughout the game, RoughRiders outfielders tossed several baseballs their way, giving a few young fans an especially memorable souvenir from the night.
After the final inning, many stayed to gather for a group photo on the field and for the kids to run the bases – a fitting end to a fun evening together.
Gatherings like Night at the Ballpark are about having fun together…and so much more. Christian community is expressed through a shared life – in the big moments and all the ordinary moments in between. An evening at the ballpark gives us another opportunity to deepen friendships, make new connections, and practice the kind of belonging that carries into Sunday mornings and throughout the rest of our lives together.
We’re grateful for everyone who joined us and made this year’s Night at the Ballpark such a memorable evening with our Christ Church family.
