Passage: Exodus 34:1-9

Who is God when we are at our very worst? Our reluctance to make New Year's resolutions often reveals our reticence to assess our personal shortcomings and failures, yet Fr. Jonathan encourages us to face our regrets by falling upon the Lord's promise. If, in our time of need, we call upon his Name, we will find, like Moses and Israel in the wilderness, hope in the justice and grace of God.
