Bishop Paul is the Rector and Dean of Christ Church Plano. Ordained in 2004, he served in several Canadian parishes before being called to Texas in 2016 with his wife, Monika, and their four daughters. In 2023 he was elected by the Gafcon (Global Anglican) Primates as General Secretary, and consecrated as a Bishop in Rwanda in 2024. Bishop Paul also serves as Assisting Bishop for Great Plains Missionary District. He holds a B.F.A in Theatre from the University of Victoria, a Dp.C.S. and M.Div from Regent College, and has done doctoral work at Trinity School for Ministry. He serves on the boards of Trinity School for Ministry and East African Christian College (Kigali, Rwanda). Passionate about the discipline of Bible memorization, Bishop Paul loves to dramatically storytell the Scriptures when he preaches.
Jonathan arrived at Christ Church in 2018 and is honored to serve in his role as Sub-Dean and Canon Theologian. In that role, he engages in a wide variety of tasks focused on teaching, preaching, and assisting Bishop Paul with the oversight of the church’s staff and ministry. Prior to his arrival at Christ Church, he spent more than a decade in graduate theological education, earning a M.Div. from Beeson Divinity School and a Ph.D. from Boston College. He has taught courses in early Christianity and theology at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He and his wife, Rachael, are the proud parents of four children: Elizabeth, Charlie, Lucy, and Maggie.
Executive Team
John and his family first joined Christ Church in 2006 and are long-time members. A Louisiana native and an Aggie at heart, John began his journey at Texas A&M University and spent the next twenty years in the medical industry overseeing operations for a nationwide hospital system. Upon receiving the call to ministry, he earned a Master of Divinity from Cranmer Theological House and now oversees community life, operations and missions at Christ Church, combining his skills in administration with his deep desire to care for those in need. In his downtime, he loves cooking Cajun food and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two adult daughters, McKayla and Jordan.
Toni provides leadership in the business affairs of Christ Church including finance and budgeting, funds management, statistics, and membership database applications. She also oversees human resources’ payroll, benefits and policies and procedures. Toni is also an ordained Deacon on our staff and provides pastoral and ministry leadership in several areas of ministry. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a BSBA in Finance and a Master’s of Professional Accountancy. She was ordained as a Deacon of the Church in August 2006. She is also a graduate of the Anglican School of Theology and has a Master’s of Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Canon Mark has served as Christ Church’s director of music since 1994. In coordination with Bishop Paul, he oversees the entirety of our Music and Worship offerings throughout the liturgical year. Worship services at the Cathedral span a wide breadth of musical styles from within the Anglican communion and beyond, including great hymns of the church, traditional choral anthems, and modern songs of praise.
Travis joined the staff of Christ Church Plano in 2022 and has served as Director of Family Ministry since February of 2023. As Canon of Family Ministry and Adult Discipleship, he provides leadership for faith formation across all stages of life, focusing on equipping parents, strengthening households, and cultivating mature disciples rooted in Scripture and the sacramental life of the Church. He holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Anglican Seminary and is passionate about empowering individuals to become disciples who make disciples. Travis lives in North Texas with his wife, Kelsey, and their four daughters—Rylee, Selah, Ellie, and Norah.
